About the Computer Lab
Our trusty lab assistant, WALL-E, hard at work.
In our new computer lab, everything we do is student-centered, meaning:
- The learner has full responsibility for his/her learning.
- Involvement and participation are necessary for learning.
- Students must take charge of their own learning.
- Students have an increased sense of autonomy in their learning process.
- Learning is active instead of passive. Students are involved in activities that foster learning, not just sitting or taking notes.
- There is an emphasis on deep learning and understanding.
- The teacher is a facilitator and resource person.
- Teachers expect students to be responsible and accountable.*
Located on Welby Way's beautiful West Hills campus, the new computer lab in Room 29 is open to all 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classes. Primary students have access to the computer lab next to the library.
